Austin Monthly magazine has selected seven Wittliff | Cutter attorneys for its list of Austin’s Top Attorneys of 2022. The attorneys represent work in civil litigation and transactions, technology and labor and employment.
The individual lawyers and the practice areas for which they are recognized are:
- Leah Bhimani Buratti for civil litigation
- María Amelia Calaf (MAC) for civil litigation
- Katherine Chiarello for civil litigation
- Jennifer Rappoport Colimon for labor and employment
- Slade Cutter for technology
- Asra Syed for civil litigation
- Meera del Mel for business law
To determine the attorneys selected to the annual list, Austin Monthly partners with a data collection agency to conduct a peer nomination and voting process. The agency then tallies the votes and selects winners; attorneys cannot pay to be included on the list.
“Speaking on behalf of my colleagues, we are honored to be included on Austin Monthly’s top attorneys list,” said MAC, the firm’s managing partner. “As Austin has expanded to become a hot spot for a growing number of industries, so too has the competitiveness of the legal market. We’re gratified that our colleagues think highly enough of us to give us their vote as being among the city’s top lawyers.”
Wittliff | Cutter’s Austin’s Top Attorneys recognitions are the latest in a string of recent honors, including Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and Texas Super Lawyers. Of the attorneys named to Austin’s Top Attorneys, Asra was also selected to Ones to Watch, and Super Lawyers recognized MAC and Katherine.
Apart from professional accolades, the firm recently dominated in the courtroom with a trade secrets appellate victory for Moov Technologies, Inc. Austin’s Top Attorneys honorees MAC and Katherine argued the case with partner Jack A. Simms.
