For over 20 years, Nicole Norris’s legal practice focuses on intellectual property and complex commercial litigation matters. Nicole’s experience is equally split between representing clients as outside counsel in traditional “big law” firms based in San Francisco and Silicon Valley and acting as in-house counsel to protect internal client’s business risk.

As outside counsel, Nicole focuses primarily on patent, antitrust, and trade secret litigation matters in the technology, software, pharmaceutical, and medical device fields, to name a few. As in-house counsel, Nicole expanded her expertise to the area of SaaS licensing and expertly navigated her internal clients through the myriad of corporate legal matters that arose, including protection and enforcement of global IP portfolios, corporate compliance, human resource matters, and keeping up with and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Nicole’s dual experience as both outside and in-house counsel makes her uniquely positioned to advise clients on the “big picture” when it comes to legal strategy.

In addition to being a practicing attorney, Nicole also holds a California Real Estate Broker license and is a licensed Mortgage Lending Officer. While originally from San Francisco, Nicole currently enjoys living the “SLO life” in the “Happiest city in the US,” San Luis Obispo, California.
