Congratulations to Wittliff | Cutter partner Asra Syed and senior counsel Sherri Wilson, who have been selected to the annual Texas’ Best Lawyers list. The list identifies the state’s top attorneys based on that corresponding year’s Best Lawyers in America list.
Asra was recognized for her work in commercial litigation. She was also recognized in 2021 by Best Lawyers in America: Ones to Watch, which recognizes promising young lawyers. Sherri, who was recognized by Best Lawyers for her work in intellectual property law, was also previously recognized in 2020 by Super Lawyers Rising Stars, an unrelated publication that also chronicles top attorneys early in their careers.

She has represented clients in the alcoholic beverage, private equity, fashion, fitness, beauty care, and commercial real estate industries, and has successfully litigated disputes related to mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, trademark infringement, business torts, and other commercial actions.
An electrical design engineer prior to practicing law, Sherri is a registered patent attorney and focuses her practice on patent, trademark, and copyright law, with an emphasis on due diligence, litigation, prosecution, and licensing of intellectual property. She also provides counsel to companies in connection with management and protection of intellectual property, as well as strategic legal advice on other technology-related matters.
