Jennifer Rappoport

Jennifer’s practice encompasses commercial litigation, employment litigation, and employment advice and counseling. Prior to joining Wittliff Cutter, she served as Vice-President, Global Litigation and Employment at SunPower Corporation, where she led the litigation team in international, federal, state and local arbitrations and court proceedings spanning trade secret, securities, patent, contract, consumer, product liability and employment claims, on individual, commercial, and class action bases. She also served as global employment counsel, advising on matters of executive contracts and compensation, employment agreements, policies, training, discipline, termination, workplace matters, and internal investigations. Jennifer also has experience in wage and hour class action litigation, single-plaintiff harassment and discrimination claims, and regularly advises businesses on all types of employment matters.

Jennifer joined Wittliff Cutter in 2020 from SunPower. Prior to SunPower, Jennifer spent 12 years as a Labor and Employment attorney with Winston & Strawn, LLP in Los Angeles and Houston where her practice focused on employment litigation, particularly wage and hour class action defense.

  • Defeated certification of nationwide Fair Labor Standards Act collective actions
  • Second chaired single plaintiff cases in federal and state court
  • Advised on employment aspects of multiple international M&A transactions
  • Negotiated executive employment agreements and separation agreements for executives of publicly traded companies
  • Oversaw internal investigations into various workplace matters, including workplace fatalities, allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination, and corruption
